Guangzhou Australasian Intervarsity Debate Championships 2025
The Australasian Intervarsity Debate Championships (commonly known as “Australs”) is a prestigious annual debate tournament for university students across the Australasian region.
It is the largest and most competitive 3v3 debate competition in the world, following the Australasian Debating (Australs) format. The tournament attracts talented debaters from top institutions in Australia, New Zealand, Northeast Asia, Southern Asia, and Southeast Asia.
The most recent edition of Australs was hosted in Jakarta, Indonesia, in collaboration with Multimedia Nusantara University. The reigning champions, Sophie Shead, Udai Kamath, and Oliver Hervir from the University of Sydney, claimed victory in a fiercely contested final, solidifying their place among the tournament’s celebrated alumni.
