Australasian Junior Debate Championships

The Australasian Junior Debate Championships, fondly referred to as the “Australasian Juniors,” serves as the culminating debating tournament for the youngest debaters in the Asia Pacific region, marking the conclusion of a year-long competitive season.

 

Celebrated for its dedication to nurturing eloquence and critical thinking among the upcoming generation of debaters, Australasian Juniors consistently garners a diverse and impressive turnout. Every iteration witnesses the active involvement of more than 150 students, tapping into the intellectual reservoirs of Australia, New Zealand, China, South Korea, Singapore, Japan, Indonesia, the Philippines, Vietnam, Thailand, and various other nations throughout the region.

 

The Australasian Junior Debate Championships, with its rich history and unwavering commitment to excellence, continues to shape the future voices of the Asia Pacific region, imparting not just debating skills but a sense of global citizenship among bright young minds.

 

The 2023 champions of Australasian Juniors are Nayoon Lee and Jacob Sung from Yongsan International School of Korea, and Woojin Cho from Seoul International School.

Renowned for its unwavering commitment to cultivating eloquence and critical thinking, the Australasian Juniors stands as a beacon, summoning the brightest minds from across the region.

Australasian Juniors gave my daughter the chance to pursue her passion for debating, interact with like-minded peers, and find new challenges for herself at a young age. We are looking forward to joining more of EduDrift's Junior competition series, and later move on to Senior competitions!
