Jakarta Australasian Intervarsity Debate Championships 2024
The Australasian Intervarsity Debate Championships (colloquially known as “Australs”) is an annual regional tournament for university students in the Australasian region.
It follows the Australasian/Australs Debating format and is held annually. This tournament is the largest 3v3 tournament featuring representatives from various renowned institutions from Australia, New Zealand, Northeast Asia, Southern Asia, and Southeast Asia.
The last edition of Australs was held in Krabi, Thailand in partnership with Chulalongkorn University. The reigning champions are Charlie Ryan, Eugene Bakker, and Isabella Freeland from the University of Sydney.

Since the inception of the Australs, this prestigious debating competition has made a profound and enduring impact on the academic and debating communities within the Australasian region.
The Australs served as the instrument for gathering brilliant minds around the region to commence annually for a highly intellectual and sophisticated exchange of ideas and perspectives.
This tournament adheres to the Australs Debating format, renowned for its capacity to stimulate thought-provoking exchange between two groups, and intellectual growth among the audience.
