Asian Grand-Finalist (2018), Victoria Barcelon and Asian Champion (2021) Vinodhan Kuppusamy will be taking on the role of Co-Chief Adjudicators for ABP 2022.

Tab and Digital Consultants
Worlds, Australs and Asians accredited specialists Andree Chandra and Vu Anh Tuan will be overseeing the Tabulation and Digital Team as consultants to the event. They will also oversee the training and development of the team at this edition of ABP.

Hybrid Debate-Ready
To accommodate debaters and judges who will be unable to travel to the physical venue, EduDrift has placed mechanisms that will allow for a Hybrid competition.

With a view to promote debate and discussions from the formative years, EduDrift has been organising debate competitions to provide the next generation of debaters, access to opportunities from across the globe. EduDrift hopes to help them develop a deeper appreciation and connection to debating. FAQs
What is the tournament's Covid-19 protocol?
All participants wanting to attend ABP 2022 must be fully-vaccinated as per hotel policy.
When will registration start?
Registration will start on July 18, 2022
Can I change my teammates after registration?
Yes, as long as you inform the tournament's Tab Director 14 days in advance.
Can I choose to participate virtually?
This event is not a virtual event. However, participants who will not be able to travel to the venue in person due to COVID restrictions will be entitled to a Good Will payout of (US$100). Such participants will still be eligible to attend the event virtually.
Participants who are unable to make it to the venue to to personal neglect, such as failing to comply with travel requirements, will not be eligible to the Good Will payout but can still attend the event virtually.
Can I apply as a virtual Independent Adjudicator?
This is subject to the Adjudicator Core's policy on independent judges. This event has an Independent Adjudicator budget for an in-person tournament.
How does a hybrid debating model work?
All participants coming to the event will be required to bring connectivity devices such as a laptop, a webcam, and earphones. If a room has a virtual team attending, the room will be labeled with a "v".
All in-person participants will enter the physical debate rooms as well as the virtual debate rooms of the same number.
During the round, everyone apart from the speaker must remain muted. POIs must be delivered verbally.
What happens if I am suddenly unable to travel?

Will there be observer slots in the tournament?
Yes.
Note that observers will be paying the same registration fee as all participants.
Can I apply to be a virtual Observer?
The tournament is not designed to be a virtual event. As such, the event does not offer a discounted virtual tickets for purchase.
However, the tournament will adopt a model in which those who cannot travel may request for a refund of the accommodation portion of their registration fees. This must be done with 14 days notice to the start of the tournament.
What will happen if I begin to feel unwell in Bali?
If you begin feeling under the weather, you will be required to attend the tournament virtually from your hotel room.
Can I choose to stay at another hotel?
No.
In order to minimize exposure to non-participants, meet the minimum hotel room booking required, ensure that there are no logistical difficulties and punctuality of participants throughout the tournament, all attendees must be accommodated at the venue.
If participants request for a refund of the Accommodation Fee, they will not be allowed on the premises and can only participate virtually.
