This course is for those who have had experience with competitive debating. It is also for those who have a good grasp of the fundamentals and wish to delve deeper into more complex issues. This course is the perfect fit for those who wish to master the details of the debate, such as case construction, point of information, model building, and clash identification. If you are looking to structure your thoughts more coherently and become a more lucid speaker, this course will set you right on track! Students that have the desire to become sharper critical thinkers will find this course deeply rewarding as we explore deeply polarizing issues.

The classes will feature a good balance of lectures on current affairs topics, strategic debating techniques and offer plenty of opportunities in each session for practical application through debate drills and activities. Students will be having personalized feedback on their performances as they progress through the training and track their progress in a timely manner. For those who wish to apply their persuasion skills in a competitive setting, this course is perfect for those who wish to enter the world of competitive debating. Regardless of one's skill level in public speaking and debate, this course is sure to help students get on track towards participating in various debate activities, events, and even competitions. Students can expect to learn theories such as weighing different arguments and impacts, engagement strategies, case preparation, and many more. Every student will learn to build a vast knowledge base on global affairs from social movements to international relations, and be able to adequately understand and use examples during debates. Every session is an opportunity to work on improving areas such as speech clarity, confidence, reasoning, and building complex arguments. By the end of this course, students will have mastered the rules of debating. They will also know the different roles each speaker has to play in around. They will also learn different types of debate motions and effectively navigate each with poise and confidence. Here, students will also get opportunities to form great team dynamics with their other classmates through the form of competitive team debating. When the course ends, students will be ready to delve deeper into the world of competitive debating and master the different skills that come with the sport.

Can I enrol for trial classes?
Yes, you can enrol for paid-trial classes. You can simply book a trial/single class for every weekly class program.
Is the program 100% online?
This program is 100% online. Online programs are conducted via Zoom or Google classroom. Make sure you have your Zoom and/or Google classroom accounts ready before your program begins. You are expected to be punctual for your program booking. If you are late for your weekly classes, no time extension will be provided. You cannot reschedule or change your program day and time.
When do I receive my booking confirmation?
Upon successful payment, you will receive confirmation of your booking within 24 hours via email. In the event that you do not receive an email from us, please check your Spam folder or notify us via email. If your booking is not confirmed by the specialist within 24 hours, you will get a full refund for your booking.
What background knowledge is necessary?

Beginner level classes do not require any background knowledge or specialisation in the subject.
