Copenhagen Public Speaking Championships

The Copenhagen Public Speaking Championships is an online platform designed for young speakers aged 7 to 18 who are ready to take their first steps into formal communication. Inspired by the academic character of Copenhagen Business School, the event gives students a supportive space to explore ideas, express themselves, and build confidence in an environment that values clarity, curiosity, and growth.

Created with emerging talent in mind, the tournament pairs accessible topics with a clear and friendly structure that helps participants think deeply and communicate with purpose. Even at a young age, students are recognised as capable thinkers—guided by experienced adjudicators and welcomed into a setting shaped by the spirit of one of Europe’s most respected institutions.

Beyond competition, the championships offer a chance for students to connect with peers who share their curiosity and enthusiasm for ideas. Through constructive feedback and engaging rounds, participants leave with not only stronger speaking skills but also a sense of achievement and inspiration to continue their journey in debate and public speaking.

About the Copenhagen Business School

Copenhagen Business School (CBS) is one of Europe’s leading institutions for business and social science education. Established in 1917, CBS is known for its academic excellence, interdisciplinary teaching, and international reach. With more than 20,000 students and a strong network of global partnerships, CBS plays a central role in shaping the next generation of responsible and informed leaders.

Located in Frederiksberg, Denmark, the CBS campus blends modern Scandinavian architecture with an ethos grounded in tradition, innovation, and public relevance. Its academic community encourages inquiry, collaboration, and ethical reflection—values that extend beyond the classroom and resonate with the core objectives of public speaking. Whether in economics, political science, or global affairs, CBS equips students to engage thoughtfully and speak with purpose in an increasingly complex world.

The Copenhagen Business School Legacy

A Tradition of Excellence and a Commitment to Critical Thought

Over the past century, Copenhagen Business School has developed a distinguished legacy of scholarship, public leadership, and societal contribution. Its alumni shape policy, guide global institutions, and lead businesses with a strong sense of ethical responsibility and analytical skill. CBS’s emphasis on intellectual integrity and its longstanding support for public dialogue make it a fitting symbol of academic excellence for events that prize argumentation and clarity of thought.

While the Copenhagen Public Speaking Championships will be held online, its association with CBS underscores the tournaments’ educational ambition and cultural grounding. This event align with the university’s tradition of cultivating open, informed discourse across borders—offering young participants a chance to grow within a broader tradition of inquiry that values both reasoning and empathy.

Public Speaking at the Copenhagen Business School

Public speaking reflects the values that Copenhagen Business School upholds: clarity of thought, global awareness, and the ethical exchange of ideas. Even in an online format, these values can be meaningfully experienced. The school’s intellectual environment has long supported dialogue and reflection as tools for learning—making it a fitting host institution for virtual tournaments focused on articulation, persuasion, and thoughtful expression.

By participating in an event held under the academic ethos of CBS, speakers are introduced to a style of communication that values nuance, audience awareness, and respectful engagement. The online setting allows students from across regions and time zones to connect in a shared space of inquiry—mirroring how dialogue and public discourse continue to evolve in international academic and professional arenas. These championships are not merely competitions; they are invitations to think more deeply, speak more clearly, and communicate more effectively.
