Prepared Motions for Copenhagen Juniors Debating Championships 2025
26 September 2025
The inaugural Copenhagen Juniors Debating Championships is almost here, and with it comes an exciting blend of quick thinking and in-depth preparation. This brand-new tournament, held in partnership with Copenhagen, follows a format that combines the thrill of fast, impromptu debating with the challenge of carefully researched prepared rounds.
Most matches will keep teams on their toes with only 30 minutes of prep time, but two key rounds will reward strategy and deep analysis. Round 2 will be about education, while the Grand Finals will take on a major issue in health. For these stages, teams receive their motions two weeks in advance and will have 15 minutes of prep on the day to sharpen their cases.
By revealing the prepared motions early, we aim to spark thoughtful research, creative arguments, and compelling debates. We can’t wait to see how participants bring these vital topics to life when the first Copenhagen Juniors begins.

This house believes that the rise of gamified educational tools (e.g., Gimkit, Kahoot) does more harm than good
Info
Gamified education tools (like Kahoot!) are digital learning platforms that apply elements of game design, such as competition, points, rewards, leaderboards, and interactive challenges, to the educational process. Unlike traditional teaching methods, these tools transform learning activities into game-like experiences, often delivered through quizzes, polls, or challenges.
